El Niño By Raphaela

An El Niño is when the ocean becomes much warmer leading to strong rains and sometimes
snow. By now it does not matter if it get stronger or weaker it is going to happen. NASA shows that the water in the western pacific is getting colder and that it is warming in the Eastern. Meaning the El Niño  will probably hit this winter. Reservoirs are near to empty, but the warming of the pacific ocean could help by causing an El Niño. Rain might help the drought but brings the risk of huge storms  and floods that could cause chaos and destruction. There are upsides and downsides but the state needs rain.
It is going to be raining cats and dogs so don’t step in a poodle.

Pigs, Pigs, Pigs! By Rhianon

The pig races have come and gone again, to be back next year. Thank you to every single person who traded in ten or more tickets. That’s $100 that goes to funding to all the cool stuff we have in MVMS, including the iPads and all of the electives. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year here at MVMS. Every single ticket you sold helped your school be what it is. Also, congratulations to every person who got into the Grand Pig Pre . Getting to that annual race is a big accomplishment. It's fun because you help your school while having fun!
